Harlsan was proud to sponsor the WA Mining Clubs, 2021 President’s Cup Golf Day which was held on the 12th March 2021 at the beautiful Joondalup Country Club in Perth. It was attended by over 240 players which was the largest Presidents Cup that has ever been held.

The President’s Cup provides members and their guests with the opportunity to relax, socialise and share industry news. Proceeds from the event are instrumental in funding the WA Mining Club’s annual university scholarships which encourage and support the next generation of industry leaders.

The West Australian Mining Club (WAMC) was formed in 1972 by a group of dedicated Perth based industry professionals who recognised the value of meeting regularly to network and discuss industry issues. The WA Mining Club contributes to the advancement of the Western Australian mining industry through promoting and encouraging general and technical information as well as knowledge sharing.

The club does this through:

• Monthly industry luncheons, ECU Education Series, regular networking, and social events.
• Minesite, an annual publication showcasing the work of the WA Mining Club and its members and highlighting issues relevant to the industry.
• Education initiatives that support the future leadership of the industry and fundraising for charities such as the St John.
